MWIA Visit to International Smart Forest Joensuu Week
ith invitation from Business Finland, a group of 7 delegates participated in the International Smart Forest Joensuu Week from 5th - 9th September 2023, in Joensuu, Finland. Finland’s forest industry is going through extensive transformation, with inventory, harvesting and management all going digital and data driven. The aim of the visit is to introduce Finland’s expertise in digitalization of the forest operations from highly manual and analog workflows to a system with digital data capture, planning & forecasting and tight operational control to industry players in Malaysia through demonstration of modern forest harvesting, forwarding and use of Smart Maps.
